Musical highlights in the Stubai Valley – an experience for all the senses
Musical highlights in the Stubai Valley – an experience for all the senses
When summer arrives in the Stubai Valley and the mountains glow in the warm light, a special time begins in Neustift: a time when music becomes a constant companion. A world of sound opens up for our guests, ranging from gentle folk tunes to lively rock rhythms – all set against the majestic backdrop of the Alps.
During the Stubai Music Carousel, the village square is transformed into a lively open-air stage. Here, cheerful brass band music, authentic folk sounds, popular hits and rock tunes come together, encouraging visitors of all ages to sway, sing along or simply marvel.
Autumn brings with it the particularly atmospheric ECHT STUBAI highlights. Traditional Alpine folk music unfolds its full magic in the parish church of St. Georg – carried by impressive acoustics that make every concert a spine-tingling experience.
And if you want to experience the Stubai Valley on foot, don’t miss the ‘Stubaier G’spiel und G’sang’ event. Folk tunes ring out on the alpine pastures around the Serles, including, of course, our Alpengasthof Sonnenstein, while the trails wind their way through colourful autumn landscapes. This makes every hike a musical and scenic delight.
All these events are open to visitors free of charge – a warm invitation to enjoy the musical soul of the Stubai Valley to the fullest.
Serlesbahnen mieders
The day begins with a hike from Medraz up to the Alpengasthof Sonnenstein. The wide, easy-to-walk path leads leisurely through the forest, accompanied by the scent of fresh spruce trees and the gentle rustling of the trees. Again and again, the view opens up onto the Stubai Valley – a leisurely start that whets your appetite for more. Once you reach your destination, the Alpengasthof Sonnenstein awaits you with well-deserved refreshments on the sun terrace and a panorama that rewards every step.
Refreshed, you continue on to the Serlesbahnen Mieders and into the Serlespark. There, water fun and the joy of discovery come together: small dams are created on the whitewater course, cones dance through the channels in the bubbling cone washing system, and colourful wooden balls roll merrily along their path in the ball machine. Towering above it all is the majestic Serles, whose striking summit accompanies all the hustle and bustle in the park and immerses the scenery in a real mountain adventure feeling.
The crowning glory is the Miederer summer toboggan run, the steepest Alpine roller coaster of its kind. You race down the mountain at breakneck speed, the wind whistling in your ears, the valley flying by – a breathtaking finale to a day full of nature, fun and unforgettable views.
Schlick 2000
Just above the Froneben middle station, a very special trail begins: the Scheibenweg!
With a magical wooden disc in your bag – your faithful adventure companion – you’re ready to go. You can race with it as it whizzes through wooden channels in fast curves. At many clever play stations, you have to use the disc skilfully. Who can make it roll the furthest?
After an exciting ride on the Galtalm cable car, you land right in the next adventure: the slide trail!
Shiny slides await you between the high mountains of the Stubai Valley. Here you can whizz down, laugh and cheer – each slide is its own little test of courage. On this trail, sliding itself becomes the ultimate goal!
And then it’s on to the tree house trail!
The path is easy to walk – even with a pram – but the adventures are great: a rope slide will make you cheer, a suspension bridge will let you balance high above the ground, and in the net tube tunnel you can crawl like real forest goblins.
If you still have plenty of energy at the end, you can continue hiking via Vergör towards Pfurtschellhöfe and finally back to Neder – maybe you’ll find hidden treasures or mysterious forest animals along the way!
Elferbahnen
11er Bahnen – Your sports and adventure mountain in Stubai

Paragliding on the 11er – the highlight of the adventure mountain
The 11er is considered the paragliding centre of Central Europe and is an absolute magnet for flying enthusiasts.
The excellent thermals, the wide launch areas directly at the mountain station and the magnificent view make every launch a special experience.
You land right next to the valley station – and from there it’s only a 20-minute walk back to us.
Whether you’re a professional or a tandem guest: at the 11er, you literally take off.
Hiking paradise 11er – panoramic trails & the entrance to the Pinnistal valley
Numerous trails lead from the 11er into nature – above all the panoramic trail towards Karalm, which takes you past impressive natural sites.
If you want to delve deeper, start one of the most beautiful hikes in the valley here: into the wild and romantic Pinnistal valley.
Follow a wide, well-maintained path past several alpine pastures and, if you like, make a detour to the rustic Herzebenalmen alpine pastures.
Then follow the picturesque Pinnisbach stream directly back to our house.
Climbing on the 11er – rock climbing adventures for every level
There are several via ferrata and climbing routes around the mountain, all of which are easily accessible – perfect for those who want to reach new heights but prefer to stay on solid rock.
Downhill action – natural, flowing, varied
The two 4 km long EinsEinser and ZweiZweier trails offer pure downhill fun: natural, varied and yet beautifully flowing.
A bike wash is also available at the valley station.
